Dear Parents,

Whether this is your first time with a child in 2nd grade or you're coming back again, we just want to say, "Welcome!" (or "Welcome back!").  We are passionate about providing your children with an exceptional 2nd grade experience and have created this site to help you be a part of that process.  As content shifts occur at the state and national level, the latest research informs us of new best practices and new laws and legislation bring changes to the classroom, most parents find aspects of their child's school experience to be quite different from their own, leaving them wondering, "How do I help my child at home?"  Through this site we hope to give you an overview of what is covered in each subject, supply you with resources to help you support your child's continued learning at home and provide a few other key resources that will help make this a successful year for all.  As teachers, we deliver content in ways that best meet the needs of our individual classes and reflects our diverse backgrounds.  Just as each of your children help shape our classroom community based on their unique personalities and experiences, so too our individual styles of teaching are shaped by our own life experiences.  Keep in mind that while each of us teach in our own way, we cover the same content in each second grade classroom.
